भ्रष्टाचारविरोधी अभियानको प्रारम्भ सामाजिक सञ्जाल Discord बाट भएको हो। उक्त अभियान युवाहरूको स्वतःस्फूर्त सहभागितामा आधारित रही, २०८२ साल भदौ २३ गते (सेप्टेम्बर ८) का दिन काठमाडौंसहित देशभर अभूतपूर्व उत्साह र सहभागिताका साथ सडकमा प्रकट भएको छ।

उक्त शान्तिपूर्ण आन्दोलनमा राज्यका सुरक्षात्मक निकायहरूले अन्धाधुन्ध गोली प्रहार गर्दा कयौँ सहयोद्धा साथीहरूको ज्यान अनाहकमा गुम्न गएको छ। साथै, सयौँ घाइते साथीहरू उपचाररत छन्।

राज्यद्वारा गरिएका बर्बर क्रियाकलापबाट आक्रान्त भई युवाहरू फेरि देशभर सडकमा उत्रिएका छन्। यसरी इतिहासमै पहिलोपटक देखिएको विद्रोहका कारण, ढिलो भए पनि तानाशाही प्रवृत्तिमा आधारित सरकारले घुँडा टेकेको छ। २४ घण्टा पनि नबित्दै युवाहरूको जोश र विद्रोहले दीर्घकालीन रूपमा भ्रष्टाचार र विवेकहीनतामा जकडिएको दलिय नेतृत्वलाई परास्त गरेको छ।

यस पृष्ठभूमिमा, Youth Against Corruption (Gen Z) समूह निम्न मागहरू तत्कालीन शान्तिपूर्ण तथा लोकतान्त्रिक प्रक्रियाबाट प्रस्तुत गर्दछ:

१. बालेन शाहको नेतृत्वमा गैरदलिय अन्तरिम चुनावी सरकार गठन

२. ६ महिनाभित्र आम निर्वाचन सम्पन्न गर्ने व्यवस्था

३. भदौ २३ गतेको घटनाबारे न्यायिक छानबिन आयोग गठन तथा दोषीलाई कारबाही

४. स्वतन्त्र तथा अधिकार सम्पन्न भ्रष्टाचार छानबिन आयोग गठन तथा दोषीलाई कारबाही

समूहले प्रारम्भदेखि नै यस आन्दोलन युवाहरूको स्वतःस्फूर्त, गैरदलिय र शान्तिपूर्ण आन्दोलन भएको स्पष्ट पारेको छ। यस आन्दोलनको कुनै औपचारिक नेतृत्व छैन।

तर पछिल्लो चरणमा केही स्वार्थप्रेरित गुटगत हस्तक्षेपहरू भएको देखिएकोमा समूह गम्भीर चिन्ता प्रकट गर्दछ। हामी हिंसा अस्वीकार गर्दछौँ। हाम्रो आन्दोलन सिर्जनशील र शान्तिपूर्ण बाटोबाट मात्र अघि बढ्नेछ। नेपाली जनताको रगत र पसिनाले बनेका ऐतिहासिक संरचना तथा सार्वजनिक सम्पत्ति नष्ट गर्नु हाम्रो उद्देश्य होइन। त्यस्तो कार्य गर्ने कुनै पनि पक्षलाई यो आन्दोलनसँग सम्बन्धित मानिने छैन।

यसै विज्ञप्तिमार्फत समूह सम्बन्धित सरोकारवाला निकायलाई वार्ता र सहमतिको माध्यमबाट समाधान खोज्न आग्रह गर्दछ। साथै, आन्दोलनरत सम्पूर्ण सहभागी साथीहरूलाई घर फर्किन अपील गर्दछ। आन्दोलनले आफ्नो उद्देश्य प्राप्त गरिसकेको छ र एक युग परिवर्तनकारी उपलब्धि हासिल भइसकेको छ।

अब शान्त, विवेकशील र रचनात्मक ढंगले आगामी दिनको लागि साझा भविष्य निर्माणमा समर्पित हुन आवश्यक छ। हाम्रो लक्ष्य सुन्दर, शान्त र समृद्ध नेपाल निर्माण गर्नु हो।

The anti-corruption campaign began on the social media platform Discord. This campaign, based on the spontaneous participation of youth, manifested on the streets of Kathmandu and across the country on 23rd Bhadra 2082 BS (September 8, 2025), with unprecedented enthusiasm and engagement.

During this peaceful movement, security forces of the state indiscriminately opened fire, resulting in the unnecessary loss of several comrades’ lives. Additionally, hundreds of participants are currently receiving medical treatment.

Outraged by the brutal actions of the state, youth once again took to the streets across the country. This unprecedented uprising compelled the authoritarian-leaning government to kneel, albeit belatedly. Within less than 24 hours, the energy and revolt of the youth overthrew party leadership that had long been mired in corruption and recklessness.

Against this backdrop, Youth Against Corruption (Gen Z) presents the following demands through peaceful and democratic processes:

Formation of a non-partisan interim election government under the leadership of Balen Shah

Conduct of general elections within six months

Formation of a judicial inquiry commission into the events of 23rd Bhadra, with strict accountability for those responsible

Formation of an independent and empowered anti-corruption commission, with strict accountability for offenders

The group has consistently emphasized from the outset that this is a spontaneous, non-partisan, and peaceful youth movement, with no formal leadership.

However, recent attempts by self-interested factions to infiltrate the movement have caused serious concern. We reject violence. Our movement will continue only through a creative and peaceful path. Destroying historical structures or public property built with the blood and sweat of the Nepalese people is not our objective. Any party committing such acts will not be considered part of this movement.

Through this statement, the group urges all relevant stakeholders to seek solutions through dialogue and consensus. We also appeal to all participants of the movement to return home.
